1. Before and after every use of the Advanced Scalp Dermaroller, rinse thoroughly under hot water
2. Use on a damp or dry scalp before applying Hair Growth Serum. Roll the Dermaroller 5x over the targeted area in a vertical direction, then 5x in a horizontal direction. Work your way across the scalp in sections for an all-over treatment and follow up with our Hair Growth Serum for best results.
3. If new to micro-needling, repeat once weekly, gradually working your way up to daily use. Spray with an alcohol-based sanitiser once a week and allow to air dry to prevent build-up of bacteria.
To use a dermaroller for hair growth, start with a clean scalp and a sanitised dermaroller to keep the process hygienic. On dry hair, gently roll the dermaroller over areas of concern using light pressure, moving horizontally, vertically and diagonally to evenly stimulate the scalp. Avoid pressing too hard, the sensation should feel slightly tingly, not painful. After dermarolling, follow up with a targeted Hair Growth Serum to help boost absorption and nourish the scalp while it’s most receptive. Dermarolling is best done one to two times per week, allowing the scalp time to recover between sessions. When used consistently and gently, a dermaroller helps stimulate the scalp, support the hair growth cycle and enhance the effectiveness of your hair growth routine over time.
Yes, dermarolling can help support hair growth when used correctly and consistently. By creating tiny micro-channels on the scalp, dermarolling helps stimulate circulation and encourages a healthier scalp environment, which is important for supporting the natural hair growth cycle.Dermarolling is also known to enhance the absorption of Hair Growth Serums, allowing active ingredients to penetrate more effectively. When used one to two times a week alongside a targeted hair growth routine, dermarolling can help improve the appearance of hair density and thickness over time, making it a popular tool for those experiencing hair thinning or slower hair growth. For more information about the benefits of dermarolling the scalp, head to our article here.
We suggest using a the UKLASH Dermaroller for hair growth one to two times per week, based on the rollers 540, 0.25mm needles. The frequency that you should dermaroll the scalp depends on the needle length and how your scalp responds. This gives the scalp enough time to recover between sessions while still benefiting from regular stimulation.Overusing a dermaroller can irritate the scalp, so it’s important to space sessions out and always use gentle pressure. For best results, follow dermarolling with a Hair Growth Serum and stay consistent, as gradual, regular use helps support a healthy scalp and improved hair density over time. For more information on how often to use a scalp dermaroller, head to our article here.
To sterilise a dermaroller, start by rinsing it under warm running water to remove any visible debris. Then, either spray or soak the roller head in isopropyl alcohol of at least 70% for five to ten minutes to properly disinfect the needles. After soaking, remove the dermaroller and allow it to air dry completely on a clean surface before storing it back in its case. Always sterilise your dermaroller before and after each use to keep it hygienic, protect the scalp and ensure safe, effective use as part of your hair growth routine.
When using a dermaroller on the scalp, you should only apply light to gentle pressure. The roller should feel slightly tingly or warm, but it should never be painful or cause bleeding.Let the needles do the work rather than pressing hard. Rolling too firmly can irritate the scalp and slow recovery, while gentle pressure is enough to stimulate the scalp and support absorption of your Hair Growth Serum. If your scalp feels sore or inflamed afterwards, reduce pressure or allow more time between sessions.
